Haverstein resigned as a director and chief operatinfg officer of BAE Systems plc and president and CEO of its subsidiary The resignation is effectived June 26 and he will exit the employmenf of BAESystems Sept. 20. Pendintg appointment of a permanent replacement, BAE Systems Inc. board member Tony Zinni was namerd acting president and CEO of BAESystems Inc. “Io would like to thank [Haverstein] for his dedicationh and leadership during his time as an executive directo r and for his part in the successfuk execution ofBAE Systems’ global strategy and to the growth of the US based business, BAE Systemse Inc.,” said Dick chairman of BAE Systems.
Last year the defense giant has saledsexceeding $34.4 billion. BAE's West Chester plan and offices supply armoredand up-armored vehicles for militarty and commercial use. It is the largesr supplier of commercial armored vehicles tothe U.S.
