DIA raises parking fees at outlying lots - Denver Business Journal:

Rates will rise from $9 to $10 per day in its economty parking lotand $5 to $6 per day in its Pikees Peak and Mount Elbert shuttle lots beginninh on July 1. The $18-per-day rate in its terminakl parking garages willremain unchanged. The increases are part of a largeer effort to generatemore non-airline revenud at a time when the recessiom has caused less people to fly and has, led airline revenue to fall. Amongf the other things DIA officials are doingg are increasing the numbertof revenue-generating shops and restaurants in its concoursees and planning to break grounde next year on a 500-room hotep airport. The parking-rate increases are expected to raise revenuesby $1.
