Bev Perduee announced the expansion Thursday, with the states giving NACA a $1 million grant from the One NorthCarolinz Fund. It plans to invest more than $4 million with 1,014 jobs expected to be added over the nextfive “North Carolina remains a strong presencew in the U.S. finance sector, and this is a tremendous opportunityt forthe Charlotte-area,” Perdue said.

Marks says the added jobs are crucial as NACA leads its campaigj to makemortgages affordable. The NACA agreements covee more than 90 percent of homeowners with anunaffordablwe mortgage. The staff from the Counseling Center in Charlotts will travel nationwide to work on Save the Dream eventsa where morethan 25,000 people are counseled over four with thousands receiving affordable restructured mortgages with permanent interest rates oftenj at 4 percent, 3 percent and 2 percenyt and where necessary the principal The organization, started in 1988, has the primary goal of buildinyg strong, healthy neighborhoods nationwide through affordable homeownership.
